The Only Thing You Need To Do To Make Your Life More Enjoyable

It’s called: having fun.

Now, I’m writing this because I’ve been acting a little too serious the last couple of weeks. Maybe even a bit up-tight. I was only focused on researching, writing, editing, proofreading, and other serious things.

A few days ago I realized I was being boring. Most of the time I wasn’t paying any attention to the world around me. And I hate when other people are like that. Besides, interacting with people around me is where I get most of my inspiration. I can’t afford to lose that.

It makes sense in a way, because I chose to go down a different path. I started a daily blog from one day to the next. Which obviously requires a lot of my attention. And I don’t have the god-like skill to write great content in half an hour, like some might.

Then again, I’m not sure if I would want to have that skill. I appreciate the process of constantly improving the stuff I write. It lets me become a better writer.

After realizing all that, I started approaching my day a bit different. I made sure the tasks I was doing weren’t ridding me of my daily mood. I started being aware of the energy I was giving off to my surroundings.

Don’t get me wrong, I love writing and most things that come with it. However, even though, doing the things you love can fill your heart or soul with joy and bring purpose to your life, it’s not always the same as having fun.

But it can be! Whatever it is, you can have fun doing it. If you choose to do so!

This definition I found describes it quite accurately:

“Fun is whatever you want it to be. Sex can be fun. Garbage picking can also be fun.”

And here are a few more:

“A source of amusement, joy or pleasure. Something that will make you go “wheeeeeeeeee” with your hands in the air.”

“Something people don’t have enough of.”

“The only reason to live, because without it life sucks!”
